About Us

Wonder Neurodiversity was founded with a simple but radical belief:
that the vast body of knowledge and research about neurodivergent people should benefit neurodivergent people themselves.

We exist to do things differently.

We help education settings and workplaces to move beyond outdated, deficit-based approaches and towards inclusive practice that actually works — improving wellbeing, confidence, and outcomes for everyone involved.

Why we exist

A significant amount of neurodiversity training currently available to schools and organisations is based on outdated or contested theories, delivered without meaningful involvement from neurodivergent people themselves.

We use our expertise to engage you with evidence-based approaches, led and affirmed by neurodivergent people, alongside key neurodivergent insights.

The result is training that:

  • Improves staff confidence
  • Reduces workload
  • Leads to better outcomes for neurodivergent people

We set up wonder neurodiversity to ensure that the research, knowledge, and understanding that exists about neurodivergent people is used ethically, accurately, and to real effect.

Our Approach - And What it Delivers

Neuro-affirming, rights-based, evidence-led

Our work is grounded in the understanding that neurodiversity is a natural part of human variation. We combine current research with neurodivergent lived experience to create approaches that are both ethical and practical.

In practice, this means we help organisations to:

  • Improve confidence and competence when supporting neurodivergent people
  • Reduce stress, conflict, and crisis-driven responses
  • Create learning and working environments that support engagement and productivity
  • Move from reactive adjustments to proactive inclusive design
  • Meet legal and ethical responsibilities in sustainable ways

Our focus is on working with neurodivergent brains, not attempting to “fix” individuals.

Self-Understanding and Wellbeing

Through our work and research, we have become increasingly clear that self-acceptance is fundamental to wellbeing.

Neurodivergent people are too often taught how they supposedly don’t work, rather than how they do. This undermines confidence, mental health, and long-term outcomes.

We support:

  • Educators and managers to understand how neurodivergent cognition actually functions
  • Neurodivergent people to develop accurate, affirming self-understanding
  • This leads to improved wellbeing, stronger relationships, and more sustainable participation in education, work, and communities.
